ArtThink worked with a group of young people from the Vietnamese community in South Australia during early 2008. The artwork developed by this group was a collectively produced canvas about the experience of depression, with the young people sharing experiences and their learning on the topic. The canvas is a vibrant collage of art, combined with stick-ons and decorations, which the young people created over a period
of two days.
As part of the process, the group chose specific messages about drug use to share with their peers, such as consequences, impacts and thinking about choices. As their final work, the group produced a photo story about their journey through the workshop for sharing with their peers.
